Enneagram

The inner dialogue, the inner motivator.  With other personality profiles, you can categorize someone else in your head, however this one is different. It’s not recommended on the Enneagram to guess someone else’s enneagram number because we can’t hear someone’s inner thoughts.  We don’t know the inner dialogue that promotes the motivation behind each person’s actions.  Do they crave individuality, stability, harmony, etc??  No way to 100% know without actually being in that person’s head.

This is great in creating a deeper understanding of your personal motivations and drives.  What do you seek and life and how is this serving you… and how is this not?  How can you hack into your own motivations to get your closer to your goals and how do you manipulate how you talk to yourself or coach yourself to get where you want to go. We all do that right… talk to ourselves??

Again, the number one way that a manager can help manage others is self awareness (strengths and weaknesses) and acknowledgement of how we respond to people and situations. Or perhaps even develop a team that counterbalances your weaknesses!
